_About Denise Yeats
I have over 19 years’ event management experience spanning a variety of arts and sports projects, specialising in fundraising events for the not-for-profit sector. This unique combination of skills means that I can create an exclusive and diverse range of activities for my clients.
My background and degree in design have added flair and creativity to arts events working with, amongst others, Tate, the National Theatre and the Edinburgh International Festival.
I have currently been working with WWF on major fundraising project called 'Tomorrow's Tigers'. This has involved working with art curators and major international contemporary artists to produce tiger inspired rugs. The project has already exceeded expectations by raising nearly £700,000 towards its goal of £1million and is now poised to tour internationally.
In 2013 and 2014 I Project Managed the Masterpiece Marie Curie Party, one of the highlights of the London social calendar, on behalf of Marie Curie Cancer Care, raising over £1.7m for the charity. I then continued to work with the charity on their partnership with BADA in 2016.
I completed a project management role with the charity Place2Be where I delivered their first 'Wellbeing in Schools Awards' at Kensington Palace, in the presence of the charity Royal Patron, HRH the Duchess of Cambridge. This event attracted worldwide media coverage, and incredibly positive feedback from the charity and Patron about the faultless level of organisation. The success of this event led to me once again project managing this prestigious event in November 2016, at Mansion House.
Recent work with the MS Society saw me delivering a series of high level major donor events as part of their £100million appeal, including the prestigious Jacqueline du Pre Tribute Concert at Southbank Centre, which individually raised over £1million. I also recently project managed their flagship event 'MS Life' where I co-ordinated over 60 workshops and activities across a weekend at ExCeL London, attracting an audience of over 4,000 people.
As a triathlete, my passion for sport led me to create the first Tower Running event in the UK, ‘Vertical Rush’. I am extremely proud to have been the creative mind and project manager behind this event - a multiple winner of the Institute of Fundraising's Award for 'Best use of Events' and Winner of the Third Sector Excellence Award in 2012 for Fundraising Events.
I am also a Non-Executive Director with Greenrock, and work with them to produce challenge and cycling events across the UK and internationally.
With a strong background in fundraising events, I can also advise on the best type of event to suit your budget and increase your income potential. Not just a logistical person, I create the full package and can confidently advise on fundraising channels to suit your event, along with advising on proposal writing and donor engagement messaging. Most importantly, I challenge run-of-the-mill events to come up with something unique for every client. I am particularly passionate about working with charities to create bespoke events tailored to their individual target audiences and agendas. Inclusivity is of particular importance to me and I pride myself on working hard to fully understand the challenges and messaging which are important to each client.
I am also proficient in website design and have worked with numerous clients to produce websites and apps.
And as if all of this didn't keep me busy, I have also recently launched another exciting event brand, nnoodl - discovering your secret london life Aimed primarily at individuals, this is an exciting venture encouraging people to experience new adventures in London that they might never normally consider. For more information, see the nnoodl page, or drop me an email.
