Why should you work with me as your personal trainer?
 
Expert Guidance and Support: As a
Level 3 personal trainer, Level 2 gym instructor and someone who has completed the Dr Stacy Sims 'Menopause for Athletes' course , I understand female physiology. I will offer you expert guidance to reset your approach, recharge your energy, and reclaim your strength.
 
Tailored Training Plan: Your customised plan considers hormonal fluctuations, through puberty to perimenopause and menopause. I will work with you to achieve optimal results by aligning your training with your unique physiology, alongside your lifestyle commitments.
 
Accountability and Motivation: Stay motivated, committed, and consistent. With regular check-ins we will ensure that you stay on track, or modify things as we need to.
 
Correct Technique and Injury Prevention: By prioritising proper form to ensure safe workouts, I will make modifications and adaptations to address your changing physiology.
 
Knowledge and Education: I will share insights into female physiology, empowering you to make informed choices and maintain a healthy lifestyle beyond training sessions.
 
Personal Experience: With expertise in triathlon and endurance sports, and my extensive studies into female specific approaches, I offer a unique perspective for women. 

Where do I work?
I am based in North West London, but offer sessions across the capital, either outside, at your home, or from a bespoke studio. I also offer sessions online and currently work with clients across Europe.

How much does it cost?

Introductory, initial sessions including an assessment (in person) are set at £60 with no commitment to buy additional sessions until you are happy with my approach. Sessions can then reduce in price to £55 each depending on the package/amount of sessions you choose. This will include your bespoke programme delivered to you via an app, and direct contact with me to check on progress outside of your one-to-one sessions. 
One to one sessions online are available at a cost of £45 for an initial session and assessment, and £40 thereafter.

I was slightly nervous about my first session with Denise but it was spot on! She really listened to my needs, explaining how exercises should be performed and paid great attention to my form, noting improvements with encouragement. I will definitely be training with her again and would highly recommend her to anyone new to working out, and also to more experienced athletes with specific goals. Just writing this before I head off to the gym to do my HIIT session. 
​I've experienced many benefits from having Denise as my coach.  Not least, her energy, passion, insight and personal achievements inspire me beyond words but also she really shoe horned me out of a bit of a rut that I found myself in during the pandemic.
I have a long history of exercise that includes weight training, triathlon, marathon running, climbing, dance and open water swimming but during the pandemic I sort of lost my mojo.   Life events, isolation and menopause conspired to make me tired, slumpy and strangely lacking in confidence.  My body was changing and I didn't like how I was feeling at all.   A knee injury meant I could no longer go running and I simply lost my drive and motivation.  I was nervous about picking up weights again and even going to a gym as I worried about making my injury worse or just simply not knowing what to do with the changes my body was undergoing.  
A session in the gym and a HIIT session on my decking with Denise got me fired up again.  Muscle memory fired up again and I started really enjoying the sessions again.  Not just feeling physically fit but having that emotional/ mental outlet that was so much needed in this  challenging life stage in which I was navigating a teenager, elderly parent, running my own business and my changing physiology.   Thank you so much Denise!  Off to the gym now!

 With Denise’s help I discovered how to find empowerment in my fear, how to tap into my inner potential, how to celebrate every step along the way, how to see victory in every stroke on the bike.  I found resilience, and the most important of all, I found the joy that I was seeking, the confidence to simply try, the desire to try many times and get it wrong many times until one day I get it right.  Denise focused a lot of time at the beginning to make sure I went deep into my motivation, to understand how my mind operates, what to do when I have doubts, how to keep me on track.  
Alongside developing my mental strength, Denise has provided me with a very holistic approach to training, full of creativity and variety to keep it interesting whilst developing all the necessary elements.  From nutrition, to age related (peri menopausal) issues, stretching, TRX, yoga, mobility, HRV, there is always something new to explore and learn whilst keeping the main theme consistent. 
I was thrilled to have ridden 50km in 2017.  In 2022 I completed the Mallorca 225, and I know I wouldn’t be here without Denise.

Denise has been coaching me in triathlon  after I came across her website. 
The training sessions she provides are progressive, well structured and completely individual to me based on how I feel from week to week.
As an older athlete who was prone to injury Denise has ensured I can train smarter, not harder without constantly getting injured and suffering setbacks. Very impressive!

The best thing I’ve done for myself in years was to contact  Denise! 
Whilst chatting with a cycling friend she mentioned she’d been working with a coach to help her cycling and strength/conditioning.  As a keen ‘mature’ cyclist I found I was in a rut so followed suit and contacted Denise for a chat to talk about her offerings. 
During that first call I knew that Denise was the right person to help me. Denise took time to understand that I wanted to be stronger and fitter on the bike. The weekly bespoke comprehensive training plan in training peaks was ideal.  Denise is a brilliant communicator and collaborative as to what I could manage each week.  Her support and encouragement for the past six months has made a huge difference. I’ve just returned from the best ladies cycling camp where the coaches remarked that I’m a ‘changed cyclist’.
