Small group training is an affordable, fun way to take advantage of my expertise but at a lower price point. Plus training with others has been shown to improve motivation and mood, and you’re less likely to cancel a session last minute if it means you are accountable to others.  You can access these sessions in a number of ways.

Smart HIIT Classes
I offer small group sessions using a combination of bodyweight or home weights (adapted to whatever you have) to deliver an effective HIIT workout in the comfort of your own home. HIIT (high intensity interval training) is one of the best ways to stimulate muscle production, especially in the perimenopausal and menopausal years. These short, sharp interval workouts prompt your body to build lean muscle and shrink visceral fat more effectively than a slow burn endurance workout. It also helps your body to process insulin efficiently, making you less prone to insulin resistance, or becoming overweight. 

Strength Technique Classes

This is a small group session delivered online, where we will work on strength and technique geared towards you then having the confidence to increase the weights in future classes, or in a gym situation with more challenging weights. Proper strength training is essential as we age and our lean muscle mass and bone density starts to decline, but it needs to be done safely with good form. I will take you through a warmup and mobilisation routine followed by some movements such as deadlifts, squats and bench presses. The focus here will be on the form and getting the specifics of the movement correct so they can be practised with light weights to get the movement patterns right. We will then cool down and stretch.

With all classes kept to a maximum of 8 people, I am able to offer the same expert guidance to talk you through the exercises, and keep motivation and energy high. I will start by taking you through a warmup and mobilisation routine followed by the specific session followed by a cool down and stretch. This session will include information around body awareness, fuelling and other factors important to your hormonal stage. Sessions are priced at £12 per person.

If you are serious about reclaiming your strength and fitness, this monthly pass offers excellent value! At just £40, you can choose to attend up to 8 x online sessions per month, selecting from the HIIT classes and the Strength and Technique sessions in any combination. That equates to only £5 per session!

Workout with a Friend (or friends) - in person
If you have a friend who would like to work out with you in a structured way then I can deliver you a structured session tailored to your needs, but by splitting the cost. For example:
A one hour session for 2 x people = £35 each 
A one hour session for 3 x people = £25 each

Join a Group Class - in person
I currently offer small group sessions in person at Hyde Park, Gladstone Park and in selected venues in NW London. These are priced at £15 per person. Enquire below for the latest availability.

Level 3 personal trainer, Level 2 gym instructor and someone who has completed the Dr Stacy Sims 'Menopause for Athletes' course , I understand female physiology. I will offer you expert guidance to reset your approach, recharge your energy, and reclaim your strength.
 
Accountability and Motivation: Stay motivated, committed, and consistent. With regular check-ins we will ensure that you stay on track, or modify things as we need to.
 
Correct Technique and Injury Prevention: By prioritising proper form to ensure safe workouts, I will make modifications and adaptations to address your changing physiology.
 
Knowledge and Education: I will share insights into female physiology, empowering you to make informed choices and maintain a healthy lifestyle beyond training sessions.
 
Personal Experience: With expertise in triathlon and endurance sports, and my extensive studies into female specific approaches, I offer a unique perspective for women. 


You can also combine your training with some bespoke coaching sessions, delivered online with regular check ins and added insights.

I was slightly nervous about my first session with Denise but it was spot on! She really listened to my needs, explaining how exercises should be performed and paid great attention to my form, noting improvements with encouragement. I took part in one of Denise's online coaching sessions. I wasn't quite sure about having exercising online but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a great session, Denise told me what equipment to have beforehand (free weights etc. if I wanted them) so that I was prepared in advance. The exercises were adapted around a couple of injuries I had, and the sessions overall was well planned out. I really enjoyed it!  With Denise’s help I discovered how to find empowerment in my fear, how to tap into my inner potential, how to celebrate every step along the way, how to see victory in every stroke on the bike.  I found resilience, and the most important of all, I found the joy that I was seeking, the confidence to simply try, the desire to try many times and get it wrong many times until one day I get it right.  Denise focused a lot of time at the beginning to make sure I went deep into my motivation, to understand how my mind operates, what to do when I have doubts, how to keep me on track.  
Alongside developing my mental strength, Denise has provided me with a very holistic approach to training, full of creativity and variety to keep it interesting whilst developing all the necessary elements.  From nutrition, to age related (peri menopausal) issues, stretching, TRX, yoga, mobility, HRV, there is always something new to explore and learn whilst keeping the main theme consistent. 
I was thrilled to have ridden 50km in 2017.  In 2022 I completed the Mallorca 225, and I know I wouldn’t be here without Denise.

The best thing I’ve done for myself in years was to contact  Denise! 
Whilst chatting with a cycling friend she mentioned she’d been working with a coach to help her cycling and strength/conditioning.  As a keen ‘mature’ cyclist I found I was in a rut so followed suit and contacted Denise for a chat to talk about her offerings.
